welcome to solace
Our bodies are meant to be a place of solace, a home for our selves. But sometimes living in our bodies can be tumultuous. During these seasons therapy can be used as a place of solace to grieve, explore, and heal the stories of our bodies and the stories of ourselves. I would love to support you in this process.
My name is Chrissy Hughes (she/her). I am a mental health counselor with a specialty in eating disorders, disordered eating, and body image concerns. I support people interested in moving towards a more liberated experience with food, body, and physical activity.
My subspecialty involves work that specifically addresses relationship with physical activity, movement, and exercise as it relates to food, body, and overall mental health. I also help people explore and heal from experiences related to identity and sport, especially transitions within and out of sport.
My primary hope as a mental health counselor is to invite clients into a more authentic expression of self and into a more fulfilling life. Please reach out if you have any questions or if you’re interested in learning more about this invitation.
